Lead through research

Within the last years, we performed four research projects in the field of heat recovery with a pipe regeneratorin cooperation with various organizations.

As a licensee of the VDEh-Betriebsforschungsinstitut (BFI) - Institute for Applied Research GmbH, R. Buchwald Stahl- und Metallbau manufactures the high temperature tube regenerator (ROREBS), which has been jointly developed for the energy-efficient heating of industrial furnaces and is now in use all over the world.

Buchwald Stahl- und Metallbau is currently a partner in an ongoing joint project to reduce cooling losses and increase the life of oven rolls.
