Within the last years, we performed four research projects in the field of heat recovery with a pipe regeneratorin cooperation with various organizations.
Increasing the lifetime and minimizing the size of a tube regenerator for heat recovery at high temperature process plants. Increase the lifetime and minimize the size of a tube regenerator; technical design and implementation of equipment
Research Institute: Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi): „Central Innovation Programme" (ZIM) – Coorporation Project KF2670601DF0
Development and testing of a compact, highly efficient regenerator for the economic use of industrial furnaces (OptiReg)
Research Institute: Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) – Funding Code 30559-24/0
Regenerator for heat recovery at high temperature process plants for variable installation position (REVE); Regenerator for variable installation position; scientific basis and coordination, technical design and equipment implementation.
Research Institute: Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi): „Central Innovation Programme" (ZIM) – Coorporation Project KF2670602ST3
Further development and industrial testing of a new more compact design of highly efficient regenerators for industrial furnaces and development of a calculation program
Research Institute: Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) – Funding Code 30559-02
As a licensee of the VDEh-Betriebsforschungsinstitut (BFI) - Institute for Applied Research GmbH, R. Buchwald Stahl- und Metallbau manufactures the high temperature tube regenerator (ROREBS), which has been jointly developed for the energy-efficient heating of industrial furnaces and is now in use all over the world.
Buchwald Stahl- und Metallbau is currently a partner in an ongoing joint project to reduce cooling losses and increase the life of oven rolls.
